Special Edition Is Not an Tier Here
Steam follows the same base-versus-Deluxe structure.
The wording matters because 'special' is often used informally to mean any upgraded offer. Replacing that name with 'Special Edition' makes it impossible to know whether two pages describe the same license.
There is no 'Special Edition' ribbon, SKU code, edition comparison, bonus panel, price, platform selector, or checkout badge in the image. It cannot establish a product tier from visual atmosphere.
Use the Named Standard and Deluxe Contents
The Standard purchase contains the game, while eligible pre-orders are associated with the separately described Crystalline Astromech cosmetic bonus. The Deluxe offer adds the Grand Army of the Republic cosmetic pack, the Shadow Collective cosmetic pack, and five painted weapon themes. Those names—not the generic word 'special'—are the reliable comparison fields.
Edition and preorder are separate axes. Buying Deluxe defines the Deluxe cosmetics; ordering within an eligible preorder window governs the preorder bonus under the applicable terms.
Platform and seller still matter. A label copied from one seller does not automatically define the product available on another.
Decode Any Retailer Use of Special
Start with the seller's exact product identifier and platform. The checkout line should use a name that can be traced back to one of those products.
If 'special edition' refers only to retailer packaging, a bonus item, or sale copy, record that addition separately.
Deluxe promotional footage or reward imagery can document the named Deluxe cosmetics, but it cannot create a differently titled license. This page therefore has no suitable Special Edition video to embed.
