Quick take

  • Hawks and hired Operators can be created from eight named species.
  • Voices, attire, specializations, talents, appearances, loadouts, and abilities are in the published customization scope.

What you can customize

Customization applies to Hawks and the hired Operators you create. StarWars.com lists eight species for those characters and says the crew's voices, attire, specializations, and talents can be customized.

The confirmed species are Devaronian, Human, Neimoidian, Ovissian, Togruta, Twi'lek, Weequay, and Zabrak. Named story Operators remain distinct from the characters you create, so a generic creator option should not be assumed to overwrite every authored biography.

Build the character in useful order

Start with the character identity and appearance choices available in the creator. Then choose the combat role that complements the squad and mission. Each specialization has an Ultimate, Standard, and Passive ability.

After recruitment, The Den is the place to recruit, progress, and dispatch Operators. Squad bonds can unlock support abilities and cross-training benefits, so customization should work with the teammates you deploy rather than be treated as a one-time cosmetic decision.

What the sources do not enumerate

The public pages do not provide an exhaustive list of face presets, every outfit, individual talent values, respec rules, or all unlock conditions. Use the current creator and character screens for the exact menu choices in a live campaign.
